Judy K. Halloran
Assistant Instructor, Heiwashin Dojo

Judy, a Seattle native, started her study of Jujutsu in 1990 at the Greater New Orleans Institute of Martial Arts under Jack Garrett Sensei. Advancing to the rank of Ikkyu in Minami Ryu Jujutsu, she has continued her martial arts training in a variety of martial arts, including Seki Ryu Jujutsu, Shihan Ryu Jujutsu and Aikido. Despite having major knee surgery, she continued her training and was promoted to her current rank of Nidan in 2003.

Judy is a Chief Petty Officer (MSTC) in the United States Coast Guard and her specialty is in the Marine Science field. She is currently assigned to the Marine Safety Unit, Baton Rouge, LA and is her unit's senior enlisted person and the Chief of the Investigations Branch.
